We are a local, family owned cookie shop specializing in making unique cookie flavors inspired by Southern cuisine. We like pushing the limits of what we can make into a delicious cookie! We love to have fun, but if there is one thing we are serious about, it's flavor. Our cookies pack a punch, so get ready! Some even say we are a little "salty". From our best selling Banana Pudding cookie to our beloved seasonal Chicken & Waffles cookie, there is something here for everyone! We offer a wide variety of cookie flavors with over 60 recipes and counting. We are more than just good cookies though, we're good company too! Our cookie crew is all about making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in the door. Our mission is for you to leave a little happier than you came! Our cookies are made by hand and baked fresh daily. In addition to our cookies, we have cookie cream pies, ice cream cookie sandwiches, edible cookie dough, cookie cakes, and more! We are a Georgia Grown business and sell other Georgia Grown goodies including kettle corn, cotton candy, beef jerky, and even dog treats! Our services include local pickup and delivery, nationwide shipping, B2B, wholesale, and food truck catering.

History of Jonny Boy

Jonny Boy Cookies started in a food truck in 2016, but the story began in 2013 when Jonny started baking cookies from his home in a small cabin in the woods.  It all started when he took a job as a custom compounding rep for a local pharmacy. As a way to thank his doctors' offices for their business, Jonny decided to go the extra mile and make his own cookies instead of buying them from the store. Having worked in a doctor's office and knowing what happens to baked goods that are brought in on paper plates with plastic wrap, he wanted to make it official. His wife, Hannah, ordered bakery boxes and together, they designed a logo from a caricature he had gotten in Gatlinburg. Just like that, it was official, sort of.

Jonny was no stranger to the kitchen. In fact, growing up, the kitchen was the gathering place. He did his fair share of cooking and baking, but cookies were a fairly new venture, one that felt like an open canvas.  Instead of doing traditional flavors, Jonny started experimenting. He loved coming up with new recipes and putting his own spin on the classics.  Before too long, he was getting more calls about his cookies than his compounds! He enjoyed it so much, he would get home from work on Thursdays, make cookies into the night and go door to door selling them on Friday and Saturday.

Fast forward to December of 2015, Jonny got an unexpected call from one of his doctors offices to bake cookies for their holiday corporate gifts. The same week, he got another call, and then another. Before he knew it, he had agreed to bake 90 dozen cookies! After three weeks straight working around the clock to fulfill each order with just a home convection oven and 3 kitchen aid mixers, he was both exhausted and exhilarated. Shortly after, Jonny and Hannah went on a long road trip and the whole time dreamed of starting a cookie business. By the end of the trip, it was settled, and they decided to take the leap. They looked into getting a cottage license and making the cookies from home, but instead took out a loan from their parents, and in February 2016 had their first food trailer "The Cookie Wagon" built out as a certified commercial kitchen.

Everything was done on the trailer from making the dough, to baking, to packaging for shipping orders. During the week, Jonny made dough and on the weekends, he packed everything up, and hit the road! Jonny Boy Cookies went all over Georgia to festivals and events, baking and selling cookies fresh onsite. They quickly outgrew the 8.5 X 20ft. space and started looking for a kitchen. Out riding one day, Jonny and Hannah came across a space in Statesboro that wasn't listed for sale or rent, but they knew it would be the perfect space and in 2017, they opened their first storefront location. It has been a wild ride ever since! Jonny Boy Cookies has added a second food truck “Van Dough” and has plans to open their second storefront in Savannah in Fall 2023.
